Pete -- Next Wednesday, we're closing the books on this quarter -- and looking forward, we've got a lot on our agenda for the rest of the year. November 1st is the first day of open enrollment for Obamacare this year -- a shorter enrollment period than we've ever seen before. The steady drumbeat of actions from the administration to cut climate pollutants is giving us more chances to lead in advance of the international climate talks in Paris. And if extreme voices in Congress get their way and shut down the government, we've got to be ready to hold them accountable, the same way we ended the 2013 shutdown. If there was ever any doubt about how important this work is, it should be put to rest by now. We've seen big wins, and we've seen how far opponents will go to get their way. But we're not slowing down, and you can bet the special interests we're up against aren't going to give up either. Will you chip in $5 or more to fund this work this fall? We're going full steam ahead to make sure the progress we've made this summer is protected -- and to help fulfill the promise of Organizing for Action. Extreme voices in Congress are already pursuing an aggressive agenda for the next few months, and we're gearing up to fight them on it every step of the way. But we also have a chance to make a positive change -- we're keeping our eye on the ball to make sure that we accomplish everything we can in 2015. This movement -- and all that we've accomplished because of it -- wouldn't be a reality without support from folks like you. It's powered by small dollar contributions from folks around the country -- in fact, our average contribution is just $40. So chip in $5 or whatever you can, and support OFA today: https://my.barackobama.com/Deadline-September-30th Thanks, Sara Sara El-Amine Executive Director Organizing for Action | |
