| Friends & Fellow Patriots, JOIN ME THIS SUNDAY, October 5th at 5:00pm at the Cumberland Square Park in Bristol, VA as we bring Virginians and Tennesseans together across racial and cultural lines to honor God and celebrate the gift that is America! At this service we will present readings from our Constitution, Declaration of Independence and other writings and speeches of the Founding Fathers and other Patriots who sacrificed for our freedom. It is time to pray for our country and lift our voices in praise and patriotic song, not as black, white or Hispanic, but as Americans. We are faced with elected and appointed leaders who show disdain for God, our Constitution and the Judeo-Christian principles which are the foundation of our freedom. Our religious liberty is being trampled. Many people of faith are persecuted for their belief in traditional marriage, the sanctity of life and the Constitutional principle of limited government. Centralized federal planning is replacing our free market economy, the EPA - supported by the Courts - is trampling property rights and Obamacare is violating our privacy, right of conscience and ability to choose our healthcare insurance and doctors. We need to be reminded of the wisdom of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Patrick Henry, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, John Peter Gabriel Muhlenberg, Frederick Douglas, George Washington Carver, Martin Luther King Jr. and others. These were not perfect men, but they were men of faith, vision and courage who helped create and preserve the greatest nation in the history of mankind.
They made a 5000 year leap of progress by looking not to man, but to God for our rights and freedom. Up until now, their vision has endured. The question before us today is "will it continue?" My answer is that by the grace of God it will. Just as our Founding Fathers and others have been stewards of our freedom, we must be stewards for generations yet unborn. As our judicial system, academia, the media and the entertainment industry become increasingly hostile to our Judeo-Christian heritage and biblical foundations, it is critical that we as citizens take it upon ourselves to preserve, protect and defend these ideals. Our Founding Fathers acknowledged their firm reliance on The Almighty to guide them in establishing our country. The inspired principles which birthed this Constitutional Republic are the only hope of keeping it. We the people must restore those principles to save this nation.
