Americans for Democratic Action (ADA) members from around the country will converge on Capitol Hill this June for our bi-annual membership convention and conference.
As National President of ADA, I want to personally invite you to join me June 4-8th for ADA’s 2014 Membership Convention to be held at the Washington Court Hotel on Capitol Hill.
In the past, ADA liberals applied the principles of the New Deal to bring forth the civil rights movement, expand the benefits of working Americans and ensure every citizen can attain the American dream. Today we continue the effort by working harder than ever for social and economic justice, calling for tax fairness and protecting vital programs like Social Security and Medicare.
Convention check in starts Friday, June 6, 2014, but we encourage you to join us for ADA’s 67 th Annual Awards Banquet on Wednesday, June 4th and for our activist training and Capitol Hill lobbying visits on June 5th! Our annual banquet will take place at the Washington Court Hotel and will honor Senator Bernie Sanders and National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare President Max Richtman.
Won’t you join me on Capitol Hill as we work together to make policy and take action? As an attendee, you will not only meet fellow progressives, hear great speakers, and partake in thought-provoking expert panels; you will also have the opportunity to participate in your choice of policy commission meetings. In these commission meetings, you’ll work with fellow activists to create the policy resolutions that will guide ADA’s activism throughout the next two years. It’s a great chance to use your voice and watch your ideas come to life.
How Liberal Are You? Answer the same questions ADA used to score lawmakers in the ADA Voting Record. Then, compare yourself! Click here to take the quiz
