ADA’s 2014 Membership Convention will be held June 4, 2014 through June 8, 2014 at the Washington Court Hotel in Washington, D.C.

ADA members from around the country will converge on Capitol Hill for our bi-annual membership convention and conference.  In the past, it is here that ADA liberals applied the principles of the New Deal to bring forth the civil rights movement, expand the benefits of working Americans and ensure every citizen can attain the American dream.

Convention check in starts Friday, June 6, 2014, but we encourage you to come early and join us for ADA’s 67th Annual Awards Banquet and lobby day!

2014 Convention Highlights will include:

67th ADA Awards Banquet - Join us for our annual awards banquet honoring Senator Bernie Sanders and National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare President Max Richtman.

Lobby on the Hill - Participate in ADA’s activist lobby training and then lobby your Representatives and Senators on Capitol Hill.

Expert Panels - Take part in ADA’s expert panels on a range of core issues like wealth inequality in America.

Commissions - Convention delegates will work together in commissions to help determine ADA’s short- and long-term domestic and foreign policy priorities.

Noteworthy:

  • Budgets are statements of priorities. The Ryan budget offers the nation a clear view of what is at stake in the fall elections.  Read more in Bob Lucore’s latest blog, Budget Reveals the Radical Nature of Republican Priorities.
  • Raise your profile and fudge your record--that's the time-tested formula for incumbents in trouble, like Indiana Republican Congresswoman Jackie Walorski. ADA's Indiana organizer, Jeremy Bernstein, reports that as campaign season heats up Walorski is trying to mask her extremist record, which includes support for the draconian Ryan Budget. Find out more about this key House race this week in the Wednesday Campaign Wrap-Up.
