A few weeks ago FreedomWorks for America endorsed Matt Bevin. Since then, we’ve been working hard to send him to Washington. We asked for your support, and you gave it. But I want to make sure you know why we have to elect Matt Bevin. Because I want YOU to support him.
You see, Matt Bevin is a patriot. He understands what it means to be a real American. He grew up in a large family where they had to grow their food. He wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
It wasn’t always easy for him. But Matt Bevin was raised to believe in the American Dream that you and I believe in: that opportunity, hard work, and freedom let anyone determine their own destiny. Because of that, Matt was able to go to college on an ROTC scholarship. Eventually, Matt rose to the rank of Captain in the U.S. Army.
After serving his country, Matt became the head of his family business Bevin Brothers – a manufacturing company. In one year, he saved Bevin Brothers from bankruptcy. Unlike the Progressives, he didn’t blame anyone. He went to work and created his own success.
Matt’s personal achievements aren't why we endorsed him though. And it’s not because of his opponent--Mitch McConnell. We endorsed Matt because of what he believes in. Matt grew up believing that if he worked hard, he could succeed at anything. He grew up believing that freedom works. And he wants to make sure that the America he grew up in - the land of opportunity - WILL be there for his nine children.
Matt is also a die-hard constitutionalist who WILL stand up for the values you and I hold dear. He would have never voted for Obama’s spying, he would have voted AGAINST funding ObamaCare, he wouldn’t have voted to raise YOUR taxes, and he will never surrender.
Instead, he’ll fight for us. He’ll fight for his family. And he’ll fight to preserve freedom in America.
