Our Conservative Choices for 2014

FreedomWorks for America

Robert,

This is an incredibly exciting year - FreedomWorks for America is getting involved in elections all over the country, and I want to make sure you know about it. We want to stop Obama. And that means we have to do two things.

First, we have to take back the Senate. And second, we have to elect real Constitutional Conservatives. In 2014, there are some real patriots we want to send to Washington to replace Big Government cronies.

The most important contest is the Senate race in Kentucky. Mitch McConnell is the Republican leader in the Senate – but he’s not a conservative fighter. He has surrendered to Obama time and time again. He has betrayed Conservative values.

FreedomWorks for America is supporting Matt Bevin in the race to unseat McConnell.  After vetting the candidates, it was clear that Matt is a principled Conservative who won’t let Kentuckians down. He’ll fight NSA spying, government bailouts, and never surrender to Obama. Matt’s a successful businessman who saved his family business from bankruptcy. And he wants to make sure that the America you and I grew up in is there for his nine children. The state that elected Rand Paul can elect Matt Bevin. Learn how you can help Bevin here.

The North Carolina Senate race is just as important. If we’re going to take the Senate, it’s a must-win. Democrat Kay Hagan has stood with Obama her entire time in office. And thanks to her liberal record, she is one of the most vulnerable Democrats in the country.

Greg Brannon is the Constitutional Conservative candidate to replace Kay Hagan. Rand Paul endorsed him, Thomas Massie endorsed him, and we’re proud to endorse him. Greg is a lifelong doctor and entrepreneur, not a career politician. He's served the people of North Carolina as an OB/GYN for over 20 years. He is a strong supporter of school choice, a simplified tax code, and a balanced budget. And he’ll fight Obama’s NSA spying. Greg Brannon is another Mike Lee, Rand Paul, or Ted Cruz. I can’t tell you how excited I am about Greg.  Help Greg out here.

Mississippi is another state where a young, grassroots-backed candidate is taking on the Washington Establishment. For over 34 years incumbent Thad Cochran repeatedly voted for more government and more taxes. He even voted against Rand Paul’s and Mike Lee’s budgets.

And that’s why I’m proud to support Chris McDaniel. He is the man to defeat Thad Cochran. Chris McDaniel is an up-and-coming State Senator who has demonstrated a real commitment to limited government and Constitutional principles. He led the fight to stop ObamaCare in Mississippi. He’s fought tax and spending increases. He’s willing to take on the big fights. And with his intense grassroots support, paired with a strong understanding of free markets and limited government, I’m proud to support him. Find out ways to help McDaniel here.

Robert, taking back the Senate with real Conservatives is our number one priority. But we also need to defend the House and "upgrade" by replacing Big Government RINOs with real patriots. That’s why we’re working hard to elect former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino in Maryland, Secretary of State Matt Shultz in Iowa, State Senator Barry Loudermilk in Georgia, and the list goes on.

One of the House races we're most excited about is Bryan Smith in Idaho's Second Congressional District. He is running against 14-year incumbent Mike Simpson. Congressman Simpson has close ties to Speaker Boehner and an unforgivable voting record - voting for the TARP Wall Street bailout, wasteful earmarks, funding ObamaCare, and countless debt limit increases. Bryan Smith would be another Thomas Massie or Justin Amash, and we are really excited about his race. Help Bryan Smith out here.

I hope you are as excited about these candidates as we are. With enough hard work and support we can elect some amazing Conservatives to Congress this year.

In Liberty,
