Washington fears you on Obamacare

Dear friend,

Washington is abuzz over Obamacare because it is no longer only a political battle; it is starting to have real-life consequences. People are beginning to recognize that it will hurt individuals, families and our economy. If it is not stopped, it will go into effect on Oct. 1. Your call to Congress to defund this monstrosity could help make the difference. The House voted to defund it late last week, and the Senate is next. This should not be a partisan issue! It needs to be stopped! Watch this clever new ad and this helpful discussion on Hannity to pierce through the confusing spin.

This week, we talk with Richard Viguerie, one of the founders of the modern conservative movement. He turns 80 today and is filled with energy, suggestions, critiques and commentary you won't want to miss. He tells us why we should thank God for President Obama, the importance and context of the battle between Republican elites and the conservative grassroots, what conservatives have done wrong, why he loves Mark Levin's "liberty amendments" and even how conservatives can live longer than liberals.

He notices how Sen. John McCain seems to be the titular leader in the Senate for Sen. Mitch McConnell while McConnell is embroiled in a primary challenge in Kentucky where his conservative credentials are being challenged. So, on foreign policy, national security, budget negotiations, immigration and nominations, McCain is the nominal leader who works with the White House and does media appearances.

Cheers, Ginni

P.S. For those following Benghazi, you will be saddened to learn the Senate promoted Victoria Nuland to a higher rank in the State Department. She played a leading role in the publicly misleading talking points which made Americans wrongly think a video was the cause of violence that night. And it happened by voice vote the week of the one-year anniversary of the Benghazi attack! See a family member of Sean Smith, one of those killed, react here.
