Robert -- It's like Washington has turned into the movie "Groundhog Day." Every day we wake up, and the House is trying to tear down Obamacare -- 42 times and counting. That's embarrassing -- at a time when America needs the Speaker of the House to step up and lead, John Boehner has run for cover, handing power over to the fringe conservatives who are nothing but hell-bent on destroying the progress President Obama has made. This week, it's a group of House Republicans who refuse to pass a budget and keep the government running unless they can defund Obamacare, too. OFA isn't going to let any of these guys get away with this nonsense. Our voices are stronger if you're part of it, too -- add your name right now and stand up to John Boehner and the House Shutdown Caucus. Passing a budget is just one thing that this Congress is failing at right now. John Boehner is sitting on his hands when it comes to comprehensive immigration reform. 137 members of Congress are publicly in denial about climate change. And this spring, way too many senators caved to the gun lobby and failed to do something to prevent gun violence. The good news is, for the first time in a long time, these guys are playing defense. They know on each and every one of those fights, when we keep up the pressure like this, it's just a matter of time before they seek a more sensible course. As long as we keep organizing, the writing is on the wall -- and John Boehner knows it. That part is on us now -- let's make sure Speaker Boehner and anyone standing in the way of progress know we're holding them accountable. Let's do this: http://my.barackobama.com/Tell-John-Boehner-Enough-Already Thanks, Nico Nico Probst Director of Special Projects Organizing for Action ---------------- The other side will spend millions to maintain the status quo. We're fighting for change -- chip in $5 or more to support OFA today. | |
