SB924 would have established a state health insurance exchange in Virginia. The bad news is that the second worst Obamacare bill is still moving ahead and needs to be stopped. TAKE ACTION TODAY. From Donna at the NVTP Obamacare Action Group - TODAY, Tuesday Feb. 5, Del. Terry Kilgore's HB1769, will be coming up for a vote. This is the bill that helps out a federal exchange with rate approval and plan certification. Its identical bill SB922 has passed the Senate. After SB924, this is the next worst bill. I learned today that Rob Bell voted against it in committee because he believes it is a back-door way to move Virginia towards setting up an Obamacare exchange. I think he is correct. Go to lis.virginia.gov and click through to find the delegates. Tell them to oppose HB1769. Please contact their offices early. The House convenes at 10 AM. Contact the Governor at the same time: Gov. McDonnell: (804) 786-2211 fax (804)371-6351 www.governor.virginia.gov Even if you can't call/email early, please contact them because the agenda will take a while, we don't know what time it will come up, and they can receive communication from their staff. Please pass this information on. We are now in the home stretch. This may be the last bill we act on this session. You are all doing a great job! Thank you, Donna # # #
