Friends, there's an important election today as entrenched career politicians Lamar Alexander is being challenged by Conservative Republican State Rep. Joe Carr for U.S. Senate in Tennessee. We here at Tea Party Nation were one of the first organizations to endorse Joe Carr, and since then we've been in good company as Joe Carr has earned the support of Gov. Sarah Palin, Laura Ingraham, Mark Levin, Conservative Campaign Committee, Gun Owners of America and dozens of tea party organizations across Tennessee. As for Lamar Alexander? It's long past time for him to retire and go home. He has voted with Barack Obama 62% of the time, voted to fund ObamaCare, voted for the Gang of 8 amnesty bill funding Obamacare, and voted for increases in income taxes, death taxes, capital gains taxes, dividend taxes and payroll taxes. Conservative Republican Joe Carr has proven himself a grassroots conservative leader in Tennessee and we can count on him to stand up for conservatives and shake up the Senate. There's two things we need every patriot to do today: 1) If you live in Tennessee get out and vote for Joe Carr. Bring your friends, family members, and co-workers with you. Every single vote for Joe Carr will be crucial. 2) If you don't live in Tennessee, you can still help. Our friends at the Conservative Campaign Committee have launched a "Phone From Home" program where you can volunteer from the comfort of your own home to make a few calls to Republicans in Tennessee, urging them to get out and vote for Joe Carr.
