Progress takes all of us pitching in

Robert -- Let me start by saying this: Thanks for all you do. We ask a ton of you, and I'm not ashamed of it. Progress doesn't happen on its own. We won outright victories -- the defeat of extreme efforts to limit women's rights in Albuquerque, the Supreme Court's historic ruling for marriage equality in June, the EPA's new limits on carbon pollution from coal plants, and the more than 1 million Americans who've signed up and are getting insurance through health exchanges thanks to Obamacare. And we are closer today than ever before to winning comprehensive immigration reform, and an end to workplace discrimination against LGBT Americans. None of that would be possible without people like you, organizing and making your voices heard. We all know there's much more to do to get those fights across the finish line, and to make more progress. The truth is our well-funded opponents aren't going away. The extreme members of Congress who forced a government shutdown are dedicated to blocking progress on immigration reform and paying the nation's bills. The Koch brothers and their allies are still spending millions to slander Obamacare, and spread myths about the law. I'll end this just by saying: We need you to be part of this.
