President Obama's Education Secretary Arne Duncan told the Council of Chief State School Officers Organization in Richmond, Va., in November that the opponents to Common Core are "white suburban moms." (He later apologized.) But according to Neal McCluskey, an education scholar at the Cato Institute, the growing grassroots movement against Common Core includes both progressives and conservatives in both political parties. Watch Leaders with Ginni Thomas: Neal McCluskey Last week: The 2013 video interview of the year -- Trevor Loudon Cheers, Ginni P.S. This mom in Arkansas gave terrific testimony against Common Core at her local school board meeting. This is happening in state after state as parents and teachers are learning more about Common Core and that it is NOT what it was sold as!
