P.S. UPDATE: Before Congress adjourned for electioneering, a deadly significant vote took place in the House to fund the arming of questionable Syrian rebels. It gives President Obama political cover to continue his failed foreign policy and potential arms of America’s adversaries masquerading as our allies. Putting American weaponry in the hands of the Islamists is what happened in Libya, eventually resulting 4 Americans dead in Benghazi on 9/11/12.
P.P.S. The fractured House vote on the McKeon amendment to the CR can be found here. The Senate did not have a separate vote on the Syrian rebels, but Sen. Ted Cruz, joined 21 others in a bipartisan No vote on the CR saying: “The Continuing Resolution funds Obama’s Amnesty, it funds Obamacare, and it funds military operations in Syria that are not authorized by Congress and are dependent on unreliable actors in the region... I cannot vote to empower our lawless president to continue his plans that threaten the economy and our national security.”
