The Next Battle

FreedomWorks for America

Robert,

On Tuesday night, our freedom movement won important primary victories. In Georgia’s 1st District, Dr. Bob Johnson made his way to the July runoff. And in Georgia’s 11th District, so did Barry Loudermilk.

Both of these candidates are true champions of limited government, education freedom, and patient-centered health care. Both faced long odds against huge campaign war chests and Establishment influence. And with your help, they can both win on July 22nd!

Of course, we lost some big battles as well on Tuesday. Despite the incredible enthusiasm and hard work of grassroots patriots like you, Matt Bevin, Bryan Smith, and Tommy Moll lost in Kentucky, Idaho, and Arkansas.

But thanks to the hard work of grassroots activists, even candidates like Mitch McConnell rediscovered their limited-government roots. McConnell campaigned on promises to repeal ObamaCare and reverse the damage progressives have done to our country. Robert, we can’t win them all, but thanks to you, establishment moderates know they have to run on our issues to get elected.

The fight is just beginning!

From now until June 3rd, FreedomWorks for America activists will be fighting to elect conservatives Igor Birman in California 7, Dr. Chad Mathis in Alabama 6, Secretary of State Matt Schultz in Iowa 3, and they’ll be fighting to replace Incumbent Thad Cochran with Constitutional Conservative Chris McDaniel in Mississippi!

Robert, we really have a great chance to expand the Freedom Caucus by winning these races. In fact, the latest poll from just last week in Mississippi puts conservative Chris McDaniel in the lead! Can you imagine replacing a 40 year tax-and-spend incumbent with another Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, or Rand Paul? I can!

But this isn’t about just one battle. This is about the long term war for the heart and soul of our country. Mark my words: liberty-loving, hard-driving fiscal conservatives will make up a larger percentage of Republicans in office next year.

We won some amazing victories on Tuesday, and lost a few races too. We may not have achieved everything we hoped for, but make no mistake. We’re playing the long game, and it’s a game we mean to win.

I will be keeping you updated as these races progress. As always, we appreciate everything grassroots conservatives like you are doing to save this great country.

We couldn't do it without you.

In Liberty,
