PLUS: VIDEO REPORT ON OBAMACARE PROPAGANDA FOR KIDS
+ + FROM GRASSFIRE'S HEALTHWIRE REPORT! + +
Hello, again, HealthWIRE Subscriber,
Based on these headlines, you may be asking two questions . . .
+ + How about some tips for all cancers -- not just aggressive ones in young women?
+ + Can't they just leave our kids alone and not lie about Obamacare with a school book?
Yes, in response to the first question. I do provide specific "Take Action" tips for everybody -- in Wednesday's "Young Women Face More Aggressive Breast Cancers: 4 Lifestyle Factors."
To the second question: No, they can't allow children to form rational views of Obamacare from parents and grandparents like you!
That's why I've just provided a video blog on "Obamacare for Kids: Duping the Children." In addition to the video, there's also a quick quote from the book that really captures the bias woven throughout its 143 pages.
But let me tell you, as a subscriber, a bit more about Susan Dudley Gold's book, "Health Care Reform Act." Not surprisingly, Gold consistently allows President Obama to spout his usual tiresome blah-blah-blah. The other side, especially the Tea Party, is denigrated.
Gold appreciates that President Obama makes himself out to be the reincarnation of Teddy Roosevelt -- that's no great distinction given Teddy's left-leaning politics. On the other hand, Obama and his supporters always fail to mention that TR adamantly defended having a strong military, particularly the navy.Teddy was at least a true patriot.
So when Obamacare was in the legislative works, the President chimed right in:

So when Obamacare was in the legislative works, the President chimed right in:
That's simply bogus history. There was, in fact, no discussion in Washington of anything related to national health care during TR's entire tenure in the West Wing from 1901 to 1909.Today we're on the doorstep of accomplishing something that Washington has been talking about since Teddy Roosevelt was president. And that is reforming health care and health insurance here in America.
Thereafter the liberal Republicans, led by Roosevelt, bolted from their affiliation to form the Progressive Party. Indeed, they did mention health -- almost as an aside in their 1912 party platform advocacy:
The protection of home life against the hazards of sickness, irregular employment and old age through the adoption of a system of social insurance adapted to American use.
Analysis shows that TR didn't even mention this one-line party plank a single time during the 1912 campaign. And Gold doesn't miss a beat in backing up the Obama mythmaking -- for the sake of the kids' education, of course:
Roosevelt's call for national health care, however, went unheeded for almost one hundred years--until March 23, 2010, when President Barack Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act into law.
Hurrah, Barack the Magnificient following in the great tradition of Teddy Roosevelt! Except the tradition doesn't exist.
