Meet an impressive freshman congressman, Jim Bridenstine

Dear friend, Before I encourage you to visit my next interviewee, I honestly need your help. Ever since Thanksgiving, I have been knocking on the doors of Speaker John Boehner, Majority Leader Eric Cantor and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, but they will not give me an interview! If you have any way to ask them to open their doors to my questions, could you please try? Instead, I found a freshman congressman this week you will want to hear about, if you have not seen him yet. Jim Bridenstine, a freshman Republican from Tulsa, Okla., is grounded in the Constitution and a breath of fresh air. He is a Navy pilot with experience running drug interdictions. Having never run for office, he challenged an incumbent Republican congressman who voted to increase the debt limit. Bridenstine won in 2012 and is already making many in Washington stand up and take notice. He was one of 12 Republicans who did not vote for Speaker Boehner. He was one of 14 who voted last week against the bill to fund the government since the Republicans would not allow an amendment to stop the implementation of Obamacare. He spoke with us about his path to Congress, why he voted against Speaker Boehner, why we do not see more opposition to Obamacare, Ben Bernanke and more. Watch the interview here.
