Email not displaying correctly? View it in your browser Dear Robert, Yesterday, Ted kept a promise he made to the American people: to fight to keep Congress from funding Planned Parenthood. He also sought to prevent Iran, a known sponsor of terrorism, from accessing more than $100 billion, which he pointed out would be used to fund more terrorist activities. Unfortunately he was opposed not just by Democrats, but from Leadership in the Republican Party. He spoke on the Senate floor for an hour about how Republican Leadership has failed to lead on the issues important to the American people who elected them to office. By immediately giving in to the demands of the Democrats, Republican Leadership effectively joined with them and President Obama to fund their priorities. Despite repeatedly claiming to want to defund Planned Parenthood and deny Iran money to support terrorism, not one of Ted's colleagues made any attempt to back up their words with deeds. Instead, each sided with leadership’s plan to surrender to the Democrats. Yesterday was a textbook example of the Washington Cartel at work, and it's precisely why we need new leadership now more than ever. COWARDS

Robert, Enough is enough. President Obama thinks he can bully everyone around him and force his will on the rest of the country on ObamaCare, Planned Parenthood and more out-of-control spending. Far too many of my colleagues would rather shrug and surrender to Obama's demands before the fight even begins -- instead of standing up and fighting back against his Big Government policies that are ripping this country apart. We're told the worst thing that could happen is a government shutdown. But Robert, I'm voting against the short-term spending bill designed to keep government open past the Wednesday deadline because I think the worst thing that could happen is if the Big Government gravy train keeps chugging along. With the FEC's End of Quarter deadline rapidly approaching in just over 48 hours, can I count on you to stand with me during this critical time?
