This time 12 months ago, we knew what most of 2014 would look like. There was a midterm election looming, new provisions of Obamacare were about to come into effect, and our economy was putting Americans back to work.

Don't Let The Liberals Win!

Dear Tea Party Nation member,

On January 6 — just one week from today — the new Congress will be sworn in.

And then all hell will break loose.

The liberals are preparing to fight hard for things like Amnesty, Obamacare and more.

You would think with a Republican majority, this would not be such a big deal. But because of people like John Boehner, it is! It will be a huge fight for conservatism, because Boehner will be returning to Washington with his white flag freshly laundered, ironed and ready for display.

But we're not going to let him appease liberals! We are doing what we can, but we are running short of our year-end fundraising goals. We must continue this fight into 2015.

The battle for conservatism must be won. However, if we don't close that fundraising gap before midnight December 31, we will be be starting the new year behind — just as the fight for this country is starting.

America cannot afford that. Will you make a year-end donation of $25, $50, $100 or more to help reach Tea Party Nation's fundraising goal for 2014?

Tea Party Nation counts on our members for 100% of our budget. Unlike other groups, we don't have big money donors to help us. We count on you, our members to help us pay our expenses which include traveling to DC on a regular basis to meet with lawmakers and their staff. We believe in bringing the conservative message directly to those who are influencing policy.

We don't have people like George Soros helping us to pay the bills.

We don't want to have to cut back on our message. We don't want to cut back on our strategy sessions with other conservative groups. The same boots-on-the-ground strategizing that helped us win this past November and will help us win in 2016.

It's just simple arithmetic — if we don't hit our fundraising goals, we'll have less money to spend fighting Liberals and their enablers in the Republican Party.

But if everyone chips in, we'll be able to continue this fight for conservatism.

Thank you for everything you did this year. In 2014 we put up a principled fight for liberty and had many great victories. Firing Democrats, pushing for NSA reform, stopping Common Core at a state-level, and not backing down when it comes to fully repealing ObamaCare - you helped do all this and more.

Take a look at what you accomplished in 2014:

Thank you again for keeping up the fight for liberty. We wouldn't be a strong voice for lower taxes and limited government without you.

Face it - this won't be easy:

Friend --

Right now, we're making a lot of plans for 2015. A lot of that planning involves thinking through the realities of this new Congress.

There's no way around it -- our work is going to be butting up against leaders in both the House and Senate who are more than happy with the status quo.

So there's a choice to make: throw up our hands, or work harder.

We need our best supporters like you to step up right now, before Wednesday's fundraising deadline -- chip in $5 or more to fight back.

We'll see a lot of cynical, partisan things from Washington next year -- taking time and resources away from the things the American people sent them there to do.

We'll see Obamacare repealers with the gavel, and climate change deniers at the helm of environmental committees. (Senator James Inhofe -- the new chair of the Environment and Public Works Committee -- has openly called climate change a "hoax.")

So yeah, it won't be easy.

It's always a lot easier to get frustrated and tune out than it is to decide to help.

The Most Important Battle of The New Year

As 2014 winds down, we face one of the most important battles for the next two years.

This battle is the fight for who will be the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

As mentioned in my article for the Times:

The one present I would really like to have is a political party in America that represents real Americans.

The Democrats long ago abandoned even the pretense of looking out for the interests of real Americans. That party is anti-liberty and anti-freedom. It is against God, Christianity and any form of traditional belief. Its members hate America and the things that made America great. If America was the Titanic, the Democrats would root for the iceberg.

Democrats despise Americans. They value the "rights" of terrorists over the rights of Americans. They value illegal aliens more than working Americans. They view the American as nothing more than a cash donor for their insane schemes.

If the last few weeks have shown anything, it is that the Republican Party is really no better. Yes, there are some good, patriotic Republicans, but they are becoming a minority in their party.

John Boehner is running for reelection and many people expect he will be reelected. If he is, that will be a disaster for the conservative movement. For the last four years, Boehner has sat in the Speaker's chair and surrendered time after time. He would not fight to repeal Obamacare. He would not cut spending. And after Republicans ran on opposing Obama's executive Amnesty, Boehner helped ram through funding for Obama's Amnesty.

On January 3, the House will vote on the Speaker. Tea Party Nation is the only national group leading the charge to try and stop Boehner.

If he is Speaker for another two years, it will be a disaster for the conservative cause.

We need your help.
