North Carolina: Your chance to get involved

The midterms are fast approaching, and you can volunteer in your state to help elect representatives who will stand up for you on the issues that matter most.

The livelihoods and well-being of so many Americans are at stake in the 2018 midterm elections -- and we only have 40 days to take a stand before Election Day.

Republican leaders in Washington have consistently advanced policies that favor the wealthy and the well-connected at the expense of hard-working families, including:

• Sabotaging Obamacare, driving up health care costs for millions of Americans
  
• Slashing taxes for millionaires and wealthy corporations, while adding $1.9 trillion to our deficit
  
• Refusing to take meaningful action to prevent gun violence, despite over 200 mass shootings this year alone
  
• Rolling back hard-won progress on combating climate change, even as it has made extreme weather events more severe

The midterm elections are our chance to fight back. Volunteer in North Carolina today.

If we invest our time and energy, we can elect leaders who will push back on the administration from the state level.

Progressive state legislators will stand up for affordable health care, common-sense gun reforms, policies to combat climate change, and a more equal economy.

These candidates will fight for North Carolinians -- but first, we need to fight for them.
