Pete --
"This is our last shot."
That's Senator Ron Johnson, talking about congressional leaders' last-ditch, hail mary attempt at getting rid of Obamacare: the Graham-Cassidy bill.
They've failed at repealing this law over and over again -- nearly a hundred times now. Health care providers don't want it. Governors don't want it. The American people don't want it.
But that hasn't stopped a small group in Congress from pushing forward anyway. It's madness.
This bill is yet another disastrous, partisan effort to repeal a law that's helped tens of millions of people get access to quality affordable health insurance, many for the first time in their lives.
They think we've let our guard down -- that they can sneak this half-baked attempt by us, and, in the process, upend nearly one-sixth of our economy, rip away coverage from millions and undermine protections for folks with pre-existing conditions.
We haven't, and we won't let them. Let's prove it.
Call the Senate now. Tell them to abandon these ridiculous schemes that undermine our health care, and get to work on bipartisan solutions:
Thanks,
