Before people are subjugated they must first be disarmed. Before the people can be disarmed the government must knows who possesses arms. Registration first, confiscation second. Subjugation and misery third. That already worked for Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Mussolini, Chavez, Castro, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, etc, etc, etc. At least our wannabe tyrants are finally exposing themselves. I'll pass.
