"Deal maker..." In other words, McAuliffe has a scandalous business track record where he has earned tens of millions of dollars, allegedly bilking others out of that much and more, making elaborate promises to investors and government officials, but having virtually no functional businesses to show for it."Virginia will remain open, tolerant and pragmatic..." This is the Post's code for being pro-same-sex "marriage," pro-abortion, suppressive of gun rights, intolerant toward the religious right and the Tea Party, and willing to "go along to get along.""Friendly to business and committed to job growth (http://www.libertyactionpac.cc/r.asp?U=341715&RID=38782027). That is critical in the face of sequestration and other austerity measures in a state whose economy is heavily dependent on federal spending..." This is liberal-speak for endorsing Big Government, deficit spending for state initiatives, and the significant increase of state employment rolls.
On the other hand, the Post called Ken Cuccinelli...
"The most partisan, truculent, and doctrinaire attorney general in memory..."
That is code for Cuccinelli's lawsuits against ObamaCare; his voter registration initiatives; his pro-marriage, pro-life, and pro-Second Amendment platforms; his stand against amnesty for illegal aliens; and his work against Big Government, excessive taxation, and reckless spending.
As is usually the case, such a bad review by the Washington Post is a true badge of honor in the Virginia gubernatorial race!
